We’re happy to announce that enrollment for our 2019 Fitzmaurice Voice Workshop is now open.

Overview:

An actor is limited only by the range of his or her instrument. This instrument includes the voice, body, breath and emotional accessibility. This class allows students to add conservatory level voice training to their curriculum. The Fitzmaurice Technique is designed to let your body and voice work with freedom and full expression to access your creativity and emotional range.
The Fitzmaurice Technique is one of the world’s most widely used vocal techniques. From Julliard to The Moscow Art Theatre, actors have benefited from it’s healthy approach to speaking, breathing, and releasing emotions.

September 2019

EMAS is excited to announce our new Conservatory Training Program (CTP).  Created to be an affordable alternative to BFA/MFA Acting programs this program offers actors the ability to develop their actor’s instrument, learn to analyze text, learn to navigate the pitfalls of a life as an artist, as well as acquire their acting craft.  The Conservatory Training Program teaches 19hrs/week in studio. It consists of the following courses:

  • Meisner Technique (64 classes)
  • Fitzmaurice Voice Work (24 classes)
  • Movement for Actors (24 classes)
  • Shakespeare (24 classes)
  • Speech (24 classes)
  • Actor’s Life (16 classes)

The Elizabeth Mestnik Acting Studio seeks students who are committed to serious training that includes not just acting training but the training of the entire instrument; mind, body and voice.  This way the body and voice are completely capable of expressing fully and truthfully.
