Lee Eskey -Scene Study
Lee Eskey is an award-winning actor who has directed and acted across the United States, including work at the Folger Theatre, the Denver Center Theatre Company, Virginia and Kentucky Shakespeare Festivals, the San Quentin Drama Workshop and the National Players - America's longest-running classical touring company. In Los Angeles he played Freddie in the award winning production of “They Shoot Horses, Don’t They” and directed Racer Theatrical’s debut production of Harold Pinter’s “Betrayal”. Lee received the Award for Outstanding Artistic Achievement at the esteemed National Theatre Conservatory. He is also co-leader of Los Angeles’ Bunbury Group theatre company.
Ken Wilder - Meisner Technique, Scene Study
Is an actor, director and teacher who received his MFA in Theater Arts from Mason Gross School of the Arts under the guidance of William Esper and Maggie Flanigan. Ken has been coaching actors for years, helping actors prepare for auditions in commercials, television and film. He's been making a living as an actor for over six years with appearances in over twenty-five commercials and over thirty appearances in episodic television such as Las Vegas, The West Wing, CSI, Desperate Housewives, Without A Trace and House M.D., to name a few.
Alex (Sandy) Egan - Meisner Technique
Alex Egan is graduate of Occidental College where he received his bachelor's degree in Theater. He completed an internship at New York's famed Circle Repertory Company and completed the two-year Meisner program with William Esper at the Willam Esper Studio. He has appeared in many Los Angeles area productions at theaters including the Odyssey Theater Ensemble and South Coast Repertory. He was a member of The Groundlings Sunday Company and with Acme Comedy Company. He also received a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California.
Carrie Dobro -The Business of Acting, Technique Series
Carrie Dobro's illustrious television and film career began as a series regular for ABC's Hypernauts. Later, on the TV series Babylon 5, she created the role of Dureena Nafeel. Ms. Dobro's work as Dureena earned her an international fan base and the spin-off series, Crusade, for TNT. Her career continues with many recurring and guest starring, television and feature film roles.
Ms. Dobro has also had an impressive stage career, appearing in over fifty Regional Theatre and Off-Broadway productions. A seasoned Improv performer, she has performed in various venues in New York City, as well as The Improv, The Comedy Store and the Ice House in Los Angeles.
As a producer, Ms. Dobro's work has been seen on television and in theatres across the country. With her company, Cinevative, she helmed many popular television commercials, winning twelve of the production industries top awards. Her Civil War film Pickets was a hit at many of the world's most prestigious film festivals.
Damona Resnick - On-Camera Audition Technique
Damona Resnick is currently the executive in charge of NBC’s Talent Diversity Initiative. She is also responsible for creating programs, events, scholarships, internships, and mentoring programs to promote and sustain on-camera diversity for NBC. She also serves as a casting executive overseeing the casting process on various NBC series and pilots. She has worked in casting for Paramount, CBS and Chemin Bernard, working on such shows as Becker, JAG, Girlfriends, Moesha and Frasier.
Elizabeth Mestnik - Studio Founder and Director: The Meisner Technique, Master Class, Beginning Acting, and Scene Study
Elizabeth Mestnik is an award winning, actress, director and teacher, who has coached such renowned actors as Ed Asner, Fred Savage, and Sharif Atkins in both New York City and Los Angeles and is on the referral coaching lists of numerous agents and managers. Her directing credits have garnered critical acclaim. The L.A. Times called her direction “dazzling” and “magical”. – She will be featured in Wrestling with Angels, the upcoming documentary on Tony Kushner by Academy Award winning documentarians Frieda Lee Mock and Terry Sanders.
She received her MFA in Acting from Rutgers University under the tutelage of William Esper, Sandy Meisner’s associate at the Neighborhood Playhouse for over 17 years, and New York’s leading Meisner teacher. Mr. Esper highly recommended her as a teacher saying, “Elizabeth is a first rate and versatile teacher, compelling, intelligent and dedicated, with a clear method that leads others to bring their ideas to light. I cannot say enough good things about her.” She has taught at Rutgers University and Chapman University as well as various private studios before starting her own studio in February of 2001. Her students have worked in theater, film and television, including performances on ER, Law and Order, Six Feet Under, 4400, Everybody Loves Raymond, Arrested Development, The Office, Medium, 24, According to Jim, Still Standing, 40 Year Old Virgin, Dr. Doolittle 2, X-Men, Broadway, off-Broadway, West Coast Ensemble, Cincinnati Playhouse, The El Portal, The Tiffany Theater, The Pasadena Playhouse, Taper Too!, Shakespeare Orange County and many others.
